Cracking, But Shining

Friends.

I finished this painting today, I call it “Cracking, But Shining”.

Phew.

This is 2024 for me in a nutshell (2023, too) – there have been moments when I’ve felt broken and cracked and at times sinking and taking on water way faster than I could bail; but as I look back and reflect, I am truly proud of myself for all the ways I’ve pressed on and continued to be a light.

Last year art became a big part of my journey after putting it away for 30+ years and another way that my “light” can shine forth in what I create to encourage, bring joy, and spread love. Much thanks to Dana, Jordan, and my mom for encouraging me to pick up some art supplies again and … create.
