It’s Friday and that means it’s time for my “Friday Offering” where I give you a quote from a book that I’m reading with no commentary from me.

Daring to read the Bible as a book of love can only happen if you have what psychologists call a secure attachment of God. A secure attachment to God is grounded in the conviction that, in the words of the Apostle Paul, ‘nothing can separate us from the love of God’ … Sadly many of us don’t have a secure attachment to God. Rather, we’re anxiously attached. And if we’re anxiously attached, we’ll never be able to read the Bible well.
