Friends!
I just want to take a quick moment to say how much I appreciate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who listens to, reads, and supports the many outlets of the What If Project.
Wow.
As we approach 350 episodes AND 1/2 million downloads, the podcast turns SEVEN YEARS OLD later this month with some tweaks/updates/new things on the horizon - stay tuned!
Since 2018, this space has been a place for sharing encouragement, stories, and creativity as we wonder about and dream of a more expansive and inclusive approach to spirituality and life — and, truly, it means the world to me.
We started back in 2018 by exploring approaches to theology that are different from what many us were handed in Evangelicalism, Fundamentalism, etc. Together, we rethought heaven/hell, the rapture, atonement theology, LGBTQ exclusion, and so much more.
We then started talking to Tarot readers.
And then atheists.
Mystics.
Witches!
Mediums.
Artists.
Musicians.
… and people from various walks of life all in an effort to listen to, learn from, and gain tools that would help us dig deeper into our own spiritual journeys.
And 7 years, 350 episodes, and 500,000 downloads later? We keep digging.
And for those who ask how they can help support - we are on Patreon where there are different “tiers” of monthly giving.
Unlike many other Patreon accounts, though, the What If Project is not about exclusive content or rewards. Instead, everything I create is free and available to everyone regardless of how much they can/want to give - people who give $0 get the same content as those who give $50.
Why?
Because (for me) Patreon isn’t an avenue to provide exclusive content to the highest givers, but a way for people who wish to support the show and my creative work to do so.
And honestly?
It’s not about money - the What If Project existed for quite a while before anyone gave even a dollar; but the support we receive does help cover every day things like groceries and gives me the freedom to keep making everything I create available to everyone.
Whether or not you join Patreon, though, know that I’m just glad you’re here. Our community and all the many ways it has evolved over the years is what makes it all worthwhile - it (and all of you) has truly changed my life for the better.
