My Next Book Is Almost Done
and this one just feels ... different
Friends.
My new book releases on my 44th birthday - January 25, 2026. I’m really, really proud of this one. Each of the previous books was my “favorite”, of course - I love them both.
But.
This one?
I don’t know. This one just feels different.
Here’s the PREFACE …
“Friends.
I wanted to share a brief note concerning what you’re about to experience in this book. In the pages that follow I will share …
Stories.
Thoughts.
Ideas.
More stories.
MORE stories.
AND MORE stories.
More thoughts.
More ideas.
More WONDERINGS.
Yes.
As I’ll share in the introduction, this is a book of essays or letters from my billion-ish year old soul (that lives in my 44 year old body!) where I share lessons from stories in my life as well as thoughts and ideas and ponderings that I’m having as my life takes its next trip around the sun.
All of the stories are TRUE – some will make you laugh, some will make you think, some might even cause you to shed a tear.
And.
All the thoughts and ideas? Well. Some will feel easy to swallow while others will feel radical. Sometimes you will nod in agreement, other times you’ll want to burn the book and insist that I’ve gone off my rocker.
And, maybe I have?
AND, maybe that’s a good thing? HA!
Seriously, though – if you’re looking for a book that will simply validate everything you think and believe, this book probably isn’t for you. But? If you want a book that will make you think? Maybe even make you a little mad? Stretch you? Invite you to wonder? Dream? Imagine a different world?
Then … welcome, and onward to the introduction – don’t skip it (I usually skip them, too), it paints a picture of where this book came from and what it’s all about.
Much love, thanks for being here.
Glenn
Ohhh how I long to share some more with you, but alas - good things are worth waiting for. I think I’m done adding to it - we’re at 276 pages and 32 chapters with a preface (above), introduction, 2 epilogues (why have 1 when you can have 2?), and a list of resources that I’ve found helpful. I’ve now ordered TWO copies that I have highlighted, edited, written in, and made 52,000 changes to. I find that’s the easiest way for me to edit a “self-published book” as I can only read it on a computer screen so many times before I absolutely hate it - HA! I love getting that copy in my hands that I know is far from perfect, waiting for me to bless it with my pen, highlighters, and sticky notes.
Sure.
I mean.
I could HIRE an editor (there are many talented ones out there - some who have generously offered to help!); but (for me) editing it is half the fun. Sure, I’ll miss some spelling errors here and there, but there’s somthing about tweaking a sentence or reworking a paragraph over and over and over again until I get it just the way I envision it … there’s something about doing that over a cup of coffee late at night or early in the morning or late in the afternoon on a cool day that just makes me so happy.
I have until January 19 to upload the FINAL COPY to Amazon so perhaps I shall make more tweaks between now and then or maybe even add some more thoughts. Who knows (the sky is the limit!), but I can’t wait to share it with you.
Much love,
