Scribes Changed This!
a clip from my convo with Dr. Bart Ehrman

No paywalls here; but if you have the means to support, it helps pay the grocery bill and keep the lights on - thank you for your encouragement and support!
There may be spelling / grammar mistakes in my articles that make it through my editing, and that’s on purpose. I’m a recovering perfectionist (who was once VERY hard on himself) and one of the ways I’m learning to be compassionate on myself is by allowing mistakes to just … be.
Happy Sunday, Friends.
On a 5TB external hard drive I have a LOAD of old audio and video files for every podcast episode I have ever recorded, coming to about 300-400 hours of audio and video.
Wow!
The other day I went back to listen to some of my older episodes and I was amazed at how much I’ve grown since then as both an interviewer and a person; and that got me thinking - it might be fun to go through some of those old video files to cut some clips to share on YouTube.
For instance.
I was listening back on my episode with Dr. Bart Ehrman about his book “Journeys to Heaven and Hell”. To be honest, I cringed at my interview style - HA! It has evolved a lot since those days and I’ve learned some things (I think) about how to create a better experience for both the guest and our listeners.
BUT.
There were some REALLY good parts to that interview and thought to myself - “MAN, people need to hear this!”; and so I cut out a clip, edited it a bit, and put it on YouTube.
Here it is:
I think I may do this with some other videos as well and maybe post 1 of these shorter clips every once in a while.
In this clip Bart talks to us about "The Apocalypse of Peter", how it almost made it into the New Testament, and why it was left out (AND changed by scribes!).
Check it out and let me know what you think of this idea.
Much love,
