New art I finished up today. This was a bit of an experiment for a larger piece Jordan is going to help me with! It’s done with spray paint and some acrylic splatter. Its called “You Are Here”.
Sometimes we think that HERE is just our small part of the world where we strive to make money to pay our bills and taxes, reaching for this and that and the other thing, navigating through our (seemingly!) never ending problems.
Right?
But.
Really?
HERE is a speck on a pebble that’s hurtling through an ever-expanding miraculous and awe-inspiring space that is far too complex for our brains to truly comprehend.
When I feel overwhelmed or anxious about tomorrow, it helps me to remember that “I Am Here” - in the midst of galaxies upon galaxies, in a human body that is somehow made up of the very stardust that surrounds me.
Breathe in.
“I am here.”
Breathe out.
“I am here.”
Breathe in.
“I am here.”
Breathe out.
“I am here.”
… this is my mantra today to help me stay conscious and aware. I am here, and I am grateful.
