You're Not a Christian!
have you been told this before?
No paywalls here; but if you have the means to support, it helps pay the grocery bill and keep the lights on - thank you for your encouragement and support!
There may be spelling / grammar mistakes in my articles that make it through my editing, and that’s on purpose. I’m a recovering perfectionist (who was once VERY hard on himself) and one of the ways I’m learning to be compassionate on myself is by allowing mistakes to just … be.
Hey friends.
How about a video? I was thinking about the podcast the other day - we’re approaching it’s NINE YEAR anniversary. Can you believe it? Insane. And I was reminiscing about some of the great conversations we’ve had over the years with people like …
Brian McLaren.
Diana Butler Bass.
Alexander John Shaia.
Bart Ehrman.
Nicole LePera.
Elaine Pagels.
David Brakke.
Barbara Brown Taylor.
NT Wright.
Rob Bell!
… the list could go on and on. What a ride it’s been!
As I was thinking back over this wild adventure, though, I started to recall those early days when it was just me and the mic. If you’ve been around since the beginning - do you remember that? I’d turn on the mic and talk about something I was reading in the Bible or a Bible story or something I was wrestling with in my faith.
I loved that!
I do that with the blog a lot, of course, but I don’t do much of it in terms of audio/video as most of that is dedicated to interviews and asking people questions about their faith, their books, etc.
Anyways.
So today I had the itch to turn on the mic and camera and share some things. I want to do a (short?) series of videos where I share a bit about my faith journey and also share some things I’m wrestling with today as my journey continues to unfold and lead me here, there, and … everywhere.
Here’s the video - take a look, share some thoughts if you wish.
AND.
If you want to support this soon-to-be NINE YEAR OLD project, you can do so HERE over on Patreon. We have 30 supporters today along with 7 who support here on Substack and all the money goes towards our monthly grocery bill - my family and I are forever grateful.
Thanks for being here, much love.
